Martha Stewart Photo Stylist Shares Her Best Tips for Your Product Shots

 Take an inside look at the way she cultivated her fire for picture styling.

"We utilized Lightroom and it worked for possibly a year. I am such a perfectionist concerning getting each and every product looking absolutely perfect with just the ideal amount of shadow and only the correct backdrop and only this entire rigmarole of trying to figure out that."

"We wanted to picture in a manner we had not seen linens photographed before. It is not always easy to make something which's very flat look intriguing. We had a good deal of trouble with this. We worked tirelessly to receive all the ideal presets and make [the photographs ] seem the very best. I hand retouched all out the backgrounds of each and every item, so it took it lots of time"

As time passes, the company became too much for Britni to help run and behave as the creative manager. Additionally, her sister Kelsey welcomed automotive background two infants into her family during this time. Hence that the company evolved once again, this time to fulfill both the requirements of their clients and themselves.

Britni's hints for styling merchandise photographs -- even if you aren't a pro

Britni has had much varied experience styling product pictures, she has learned over just a few tricks along the way.

Get your photo directly on camera

When you are doing everything yourself, styling and preparation make a difference. The more you're able to do while on place and throughout the shoot, the less you need to rely upon post-processing and picture editing. "You can do a whole lot with Photoshop, but it is a whole lot simpler if you do not need to," states Britni.

She points out that lumps, puckers, and additional threads stick on cam over in actual life. "It is really important that you understand that items on camera interpret much more intensely. Be sure what you are photographing is in its best possible shape."
